One word for this movie... wow - The Passion of the Christ Reviews
Don't come to this movie to expect a 2004 version of "Jesus of Nazareth" movie because this one is not light and fluffy like that one. Gibson & team has done an awesome job of showing the last hours of our Savior Jesus Christ. Watching the movie and you get a sense of you are their as a bystander. As much as you want to help, you can't. It's told in such a way that, even though you know what's going to happen, in your mind you want to stand up and protest the inevitable.
The sub-titles are not a problem. I didn't really even notice them after about 5 minutes into the movie. So don't let that be a deterent for you seeing the movie.
Don't let the critics persuade you that this movie is 'too violent' or 'too gory'. It is true to the fact of the violence that was endured by our Savior. Critics, like everyone, have their own opinions, but I think that some of them are turning this into the "Passion of Mel Gibson" opposed to the story of Jesus. So, read carefully.
Believers and Non-Believers, Faithfuls and Historians; you all will hopefully be wowed by this portrayal of Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ".
Go see the movie.
