Not what i expected - The Passion of the Christ Reviews

I went to a pre-release showing of this movie because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I got what I expected in terms of the graphic brutality I heard so much about. But, I was not expecting to be so deeply moved. I was not expecting such a personal experience. I've NEVER cried at a movie before seeing this film. But, on the flip side, my wife walked out of the theatre and said, "it was pretty good". Life changing vs. "pretty good". I guess that is the range of experience you'll get with this movie. We're both Catholic but for some reason it was a much different experience for me. I'd recommend seeing it and judging for yourself. I would caution bringing children because of the graphic nature. Parents should definitely see this one on their own before making a decision regarding their kids.
