that's latin for "blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord", that means you: mr Gibson, mr Caviezel and the rest of the crew members for bringing the truth "the absolute truth" about what happened on the last 12 hours of Christ's life. I've read the book dolorous passion of our lord Jesus Christ by sister Anne Catherine Emmerich on which the movie predominantly based, a while ago, and I am currently re-reading it again. I believed every words she said in the book, why? because it's faith, like mel, I believe the book is telling the truth about what happened during Christ's passion. Today, I just watched Mel's passion movie back to back (twice) with ash on my forehead because it's ash wednesday, and I just could not believe my eyes. Mel and especially Jim vividly depicted all the tortures and torments describe by sister Emmerich's vision. All the weapons she described in her vision, the flesh grabbing iron hook (cat o nine tail)were all employed during the scourging of Jesus in the film. I cannot believe someone made a movie like this! takes a lot of courage to make this film. As a believer with cast iron stomach (as times magazine said about the person who will enjoy this film) and as a fellow latin mass goer, I have to tell you mel and jim that you guys are divine workers. You had changed my life and soon will change others. You have shown the full extend of Christ's suffering so that my problems will mean nothing by comparisons. This is the most powerful movie I have ever seen in my life. Ultimate acting, ultimate directing and ultimate film. All my favourite films such as Godfather and Scarface will pave way for this heavenly film. No wonder God made his own approval by casting His lighting onto Jim Caviezel during the shooting of the sermont. Through this movie you will save lots of lives. As for anti semitic accusation, that is a cop out, the only person I feel like smacking are the critics and those who are trying the destroy Mel gibson without even seeing the film.
