Amazing...even for non-christians - The Passion of the Christ Reviews

I'm not a religous person at all....never been to church and never plan to. But I must say, I was extrememly moved by the brilliance of this film. The method of filming, the retelling of the gospels, the superb acting and beautiful visuals are simply genius. The use of subtitles and aramaic as the language made the movie reek of realism and the grit that makes epic historical movies great. This film is not anti-semitic (trust me, I would be the first to say if it was), and those who say it is are just ignorant to the fact that Gibson goes out of his way to make it clear that we are all responsible for the death of Christ, not one group of people. In regards to the violence, get over it if you think it's too violent. Jesus wasn't just slapped on the wrist with a ruler and tied to a cross, he was savagely beaten and maliciously nailed to the cross. Gibson portrays this with utter genius by being unrelenting in showing us how much he suffered on our behalf. I'm still on the fence about taking small children to this movie. They may not be ready to see this, so parents should take extreme care if you decide to see this film.
