For those who don't quite get it... - The Passion of the Christ Reviews

Don't let my name fool you... I am a Christian. Brave the rest of this message and you may get something from it. Those that have reviewed this movie and said it is too violent are missing the whole point... the PASSION (SUFFERING) of Christ! That is the movie! Jesus's sacrifice on the cross has been sugar-coated for too long. It IS factally based and, yes, the Romans and the people of Judea (aka Jews) were all right there together in this. I put those pictures on the screen as much as Mel Gibson did. This is not a kid's movie and wasn't meant to be. It is about the last 12 hours of Jesus's life BEFORE the crucifixion. If you want a good story, read what he does AFTER it! It is SUPPOSED to be hard to watch and make you think. Just like Saving Private Ryan and other modern versions of war movies should make you seek out every veteran that you know and hug his/her neck for what they did for you and I. Just like Radio and other movies about those with challenges should make you thank God that you don't have them and you have the chance to see how they appreciate what they have and do.
